1. Who we are

Yelvi Ltd trading as TruePro is the data controller for personal information collected through the TruePro platform, as defined under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. Information we collect

  • Registration data: name, email address, mobile number, identity document details (tradespeople), company details
  • Service data: job descriptions, location (postcode/address), photos uploaded in connection with jobs
  • Financial data: bank account details, for tradespeople who enable TruePro's payment protection
  • Communications: messages exchanged through the platform, notifications sent

3. Why we collect it

We collect personal information to: operate and improve the platform; verify tradespeople's identities; process payments where TruePro's payment protection is used; comply with legal obligations; and prevent fraud.

4. Who we share it with

  • Our email and SMS provider (Brevo): for account notifications and, where applicable, marketing communications (subject to Brevo's privacy policy)
  • Payment providers: where TruePro's payment protection is enabled for a job, subject to that provider's privacy policy
  • Law enforcement: where required by law or court order

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to: access personal information we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements for financial records); object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

6. Data access requests

To request a copy of your personal data, use the self-service data export (sign in required) or email support@truepro.uk. Your data will be emailed to your registered address immediately.

7. Data deletion requests

You may request deletion of your account and personal data. Financial records (invoices, payment history) are retained for 6 years in accordance with UK tax record-keeping requirements. After deletion, your name, email, and contact details will be anonymised; financial records will reference an anonymised account ID only.

8. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active, plus 6 years after closure for financial record purposes, or as required by law.

9. Security

We apply industry-standard security measures including encrypted storage, access controls, and TLS encryption in transit. Identity documents and selfies are stored securely and accessible only to authorised staff for verification purposes.

10. Email tracking in quotes and invoices

Quote and invoice emails sent to you by a pro on the platform include an invisible tracking pixel and tracked payment links. This lets the pro see whether their quote or invoice has been opened and whether a payment link has been clicked, so they know when to follow up with you — the same way most business quoting and invoicing tools work. We record only the fact and time that an email was opened or a link was clicked; we do not track your activity elsewhere or share this information with anyone other than the pro who sent the quote or invoice.

11. Email tracking in marketing emails

Occasional marketing emails we send to businesses found via public trade directories (not existing TruePro accounts) include the same kind of invisible tracking pixel and tracked links, so we can tell whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. This is used only to understand which of our own outreach is useful, and is never shared with or sold to anyone else. Every marketing email includes a one-click link to stop receiving future emails.
